Atlantic and Little Marrakesh Tour

After breakfast at your Riad in Essaouira, your driver will pick you up and transport you to Taroudant. You will go down the beach, passing through various fishing settlements. Along the way, take photos. Lunch at Taghazout, famous for its surfing on the Atlantic. Stop in Agadir for a stroll along the beach before continuing on to Taroudant, a Berber market town with well-preserved town walls. This is off the usual path, with few tourists and a pleasant warm winter temperature. You will have a very authentic experience here, as well as a peaceful atmosphere with different views. The two souks are hassle-free and packed with intriguing things at reasonable costs. Jewelers and rugs are particularly fantastic values.

The town's ramparts are six kilometers long and have multiple preserved gates, all of which may be seen from a horse drawn carriage trip. You spend the night at a traditional Riad surrounded by the Atlas Mountains.

Morning departure at 8 a.m. from Taroudant, also known as "Little Marrakesh," via Taliouine and Taznakht. The road continues on to the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, Morocco's most famous Kasbah and one of the country's eight UNESCO World Heritage sites. After lunch in the hamlet, you can visit the Kasbah and climb to the top to see the panorama. The Atlas Film Studios will be visited in the afternoon. Several Hollywood blockbusters were filmed here, and the sets are generally still in place (Gladiator, Kingdom of Heaven, Asterix and Obelix, Game of Thrones). Only a few kilometers separate you from the small town of Ouarzazate, where you will spend the night in a traditional Riad.

Following breakfast, you travel via the Skoura Oasis on your way to the Dades Gorge. Here, surrounded by palm trees, are a number of old kasbahs, some of which are tragically in ruins. From this point on, our journey passes through the Valley of Roses, or Kela'a M'gouna, which is well-known for its May Rose Festival. Here, we pause to view the locally produced cosmetic items crafted from the valley's profusion of flowers. These goods are highly prized and well-known throughout Morocco. You take an off-road route from here to have a better view of the surroundings. You will make stops at caverns along the route, which are utilized by any Berber nomads who happen to pass by and establish a home there.

We are going to have a drink of tea with them before moving on to lunch at Dades Gorge. After traveling a short distance, you spend the night in a hotel or kasbah in Tinghir, which is home to the remarkably unique Toudgha gorges.

There are options to walk after breakfast, either along the road on the opposite side of the gorges or along the river via the gardens. We'll have lunch here or in the bivouac in the Erg Chebbi dunes later on. The Oasis of Tafilalet, close to Erfoud, is well-known for its Date Festival. On the way there, you pass through Rissani, home of the Alaouite family that holds the current Moroccan throne. After receiving a glass of tea upon arrival at the bivouac, you can ride a camel to the top of the dunes to witness the sunset. At the base of the dunes, there is a nomad tent where guests spend the night after dinner.

We'll get up early to witness the breathtaking sunrise over the Saharan dunes, and then we'll head back to the hotel for breakfast and a shower. then make your way through Erfoud and the Ziz Valley to Errachidia. Proceeding to Midelt. After lunch at the location, we will travel through the cedar forests of Azrou and pause to feed the monkeys as we make our way northeast across the Middle Atlas Mountains via the 1,120 m high mountain. We will proceed through Ifrane, dubbed the "Switzerland of Morocco," arriving in Fes early in the evening. After dropping you off at your hotel or riad, our services will come to an end.
