This journey puts your off-road talents to the ultimate test, going where few dare to tread.

During our 9-day motorcycling adventure tour, we will cross the Atlas twice across the two most famous passes and visit some of Southern Morocco’s least traveled pistes. Our tour will begin and end in Marrakesh, the Imperial City. During the tour, we will ride the Tizi n’Test and Tichka passes across the Atlas Mountains, spend a night in a desert camp, and ride the less used dirt roads of the south.

While seeing Marrakech and Ouarzazate, the site of many renowned movie sequences, you will have the opportunity to witness the diverse faces of Morocco, from the greenery of the mountains to the multicolored face of the desert. We’ll ride fast-paced highways with switchbacks and flowing turns, as well as some rocky off-road parts where speed will be substituted by technicality. This trip is recommended for experienced riders and explorers looking for a one-of-a-kind excursion.

  • 50% gravel, dirt tracks, sand, and 50% asphalt.
  • Category: Morocco off-road motorcycle excursions.

Day 1

Transfer from Menara Airport in Marrakech

Marrakesh arrival. Transfer to your SPA hotel, where you can settle in and relax by the pool before the journey begins the next morning. You will meet your tour leader, go through a briefing session, and receive your welcome pack.

Day 2

Marrakech – Ait Benhaddou (approx. 200 km)

We'll pick up the motorcycles at the workshop and leave town for the High Atlas. The first riding day will give you a taste of the wonderful gravel paths and breathtaking scenery that this region has to offer. Following a tarmac segment, we travel off-road high into the mountains on tiny trails and tight gravel switchbacks before returning to asphalt and conquering the 2260m Tichka peak. Then we take a narrower route into the Ounila valley, passing through rural settlements and stunning landscape. We will travel to Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and you will get the opportunity to explore this beautiful Kasbah before returning to the hotel.

Day 3

Ouarzazate – M’Hamid (approx. 270 km)

This day begins with a mix of fast gravel roads and tricky riverbed crossings to get to Ouarzazate. After a quick coffee break, we'll bike along wonderful asphalt roads, cross the Anti Atlas, and then proceed south into the Draa valley. After lunch in Zagora and a final fuel stop in Tagounite, we travel off-road for our first sand encounter. Our final leg takes us across gravel trails and sandy portions before arriving at the small dunes we must cross to reach our desert camp for a well-deserved rest beneath the lovely desert sky.

Day 4

M’Hamid – Foum Zguid (approx. 150 km)

The difficulties begin. We will spend the day riding the Sahara's lonely pistes. The tracks are made up of sand, gravel, rocky portions, and even more sand. To handle the large bikes on this terrain, off-road experience is required. Despite the short distance, it is a difficult ride and a long day for most. The desert's seclusion will appeal to you, as will the various terrain it provides. We'll sleep in a lovely hotel where you may enjoy delicious food, a relaxing pool, and a wonderful night's sleep.

Day 5

Foum Zguid – Tafraoute (approx. 300 km)

We're back on tarmac for the majority of the day, beginning with long stretches of desert riding through oases and gorges. Following a fuel and coffee stop in Tata, we'll travel to the Anti-Atlas and ride on flowing, winding dirt roads towards the gold mines of Akka. When wet, these pathways might be dangerous. We next face several passes on smaller, more rural roads until arriving at the spectacular Ait Mansour oasis, where we ride between the palm trees on narrow, winding roads beneath massive overhanging cliffs. After lunch, we ascend the last mountain and descend to the valley to see the painted rocks of Tafraoute before returning to our luxurious hotel.

A pleasant night's sleep will be ensured with delicious cuisine and comfortable mattresses.

Day 6

Tafraoute – Agadir (approx. 200 km)

This riding day will take us to our excellent lodging near Morocco's surfing locations. We can ride the more lonely, winding roads of the Anti-Atlas before descending towards Agadir, or we proceed west towards the coast for more sand riding, depending on the group's preference.
In any case, we'll ride through Agadir's horrible traffic to the hotel on the gorgeous coastal route along the Atlantic. We'll unwind at a beautiful surf/yoga resort on the beach.

Day 7

Agadir – Taroudant (approx. 200 km)

We normally start the day with a ride on the beach, which is something you won't find anywhere else. When the fun is gone, we'll bike the Atlas's isolated, narrow, and occasionally broken roads to Taroudant. After a quick coffee break, we'll head off-road and tackle the rocky, difficult routes that spiral up and down the valleys. A mix of loose gravel, rocks, and off-camber slippery slate will keep you focused throughout.
We'll return to the tarmac for lunch before heading to our accommodation within the city's medieval walls. We'll have time before dinner to explore this bustling, culturally rich town.

Day 8

Taroudant – Marrakech (approx. 250 km)

We saved some excitement on the last day. We'll leave Taroudant and climb the Tizi n'Test for a terrific ride and beautiful views before stopping for a coffee at the summit of the mountain. This road is a mix of fantastic tarmac and some difficult sections, and it is considered as one of the most dangerous in the world.
We'll next head south towards Marrakech, but we'll take a detour after lunch to round out our fantastic journey with some afternoon fun in the Agafay desert. The afternoon will have loose gravel, riverbeds, strong climbs and descents, and some tight single tracks.

We then return to the city, refill the motorcycles, and return them to the workshop before transporting you back to the hotel for a brief shower and some relaxation. Our day isn't done yet, as we have a goodbye meal planned for that evening in a beautiful setting in town.

Day 9

Marrakech - Transfer to the Menara airport

Depending on the time of your trip, you may choose to rest at the hotel or take surfing lessons. Those of you who chose to prolong your vacation will stay to enjoy the weather and the numerous activities on offer, while those who are going will be transferred to the airport via pre-arranged pick-up.

This is one of our most difficult and one-of-a-kind Morocco off-road motorcycle tours. If you're looking for a true motorcycle experience, look no further. Experience with off-road vehicles is necessary!
