In this five-day tour through Morocco, you’ll embark on an unforgettable journey through diverse landscapes and rich cultural experiences. Starting in Marrakech, you’ll venture across the High Atlas Mountains, visiting historic sites like the Telouet Kasbah and the iconic Ksar Ait Ben Haddou. You’ll continue through the Draa Valley, exploring Berber villages and oases along the way, before reaching the magical desert town of Merzouga.
The highlight of the tour is the desert adventure, where you’ll ride camels, witness breathtaking sunsets over the dunes, and spend a night in a traditional desert camp. The following days lead you through more remarkable terrain, from the rugged Toudgha Gorge to the stunning Dades Canyon.
Throughout the tour, you’ll have the chance to immerse yourself in the local culture, enjoy traditional meals, and learn about the customs of the Berber people. Marrakech –Telouet Kasbah - Ksar Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate
Morning departure from your hotel/riad at 8 o'clock and driving across the High Atlas the highest mountain in all over Morocco. At panoramic viewpoints, there will opportunities to take million pictures. The first scheduled stop is at the famous old Kasbah of Telouet, which served as a palatial residence and the headquarters of the powerful Glaoui tribe. Here when we will have a leisurely lunch.
Then the route crosses the Ounila Valley and leads to the Ksar of Ait Ben Haddou, the oldest and most famous Ksar in Morocco and a UNESCO World Heritage site. After visiting the ksar there is another 30 km of road as far as ouarzazate, where you spend the night in a traditional riad .
Ouarzazate - Draa Valley – Merzouga
After a morning visit to the Taourirt Kasbah, we will travel the scenic road along the Djebel Saghro mountain range, down to the oases and kasbahs of the Draa valley and along the Draa, Morocco’s largest river on our way to the desert. We will pass through many Berber villages including Agdz and N’kob where we will stop for lunch at a local restaurant before arriving to Merzouga. After a welcoming glass of tea in a Guest House near the dunes, you can take a walking in the dunes. And then sunset from the top of the dunes is spectacular (250m) and afterwards there is dinner and night in Guest House.
Merzouga - Khamlia - Rissani - Erg Chebbi
Today we will explore the desert region. We will make a circuit of the desert dunes where you will have the opportunity to see the nomad's way of life and the amazing changing contrasts of the desert. We will visit to the ‘black village’ of Khamlia to see the Gnawa musicians. We will have a traditional Berber pizza for lunch. In the afternoon you will prepare for departure on the camels. Once at the bivouac, you take a camel ride to watch the sunset from the top of the dunes. Back at the bivouac, dinner and overnight in tents at the camp.
Merzouga - Toudgha Gorge - Dades Canyon
If you wake up early, you can watch the spectacle of the sunrise, when the colour of the dunes and the play of shadows are an awesome sight. After breakfast you can walk in the dunes before leaving for the Toudgha gorges for lunch. The road passes through Tinjdad and the Toudgha Valley. Here there are plenty of opportunities to walk, such as along the river through the gardens or up the road on the other side of the gorges. Later the itinerary continues to the Dades Valley and the Dades Canyon for the night inside the big canyon of dades (Guest House).
Dades Canyon – Amridil Kasbah - Marrakech
We will take a morning walk in the gorge we will follow the Dades Valley through El Kelaa Magona and oasis of Skoura. After lunch in Ouarzazate we will continues At the end of the afternoon we arrive in Marrakesh. Dropping you off in your accommodation. End of our Service.
