ESSAOUIRA -MARRAKECH – KSAR AIT BEN HADDOU -OUARZAZATE
We will leave early in the morning from Essaouira for Marrakech, then cross the High Atlas, Morocco's highest mountain. There will be million photo chances at panoramic views. The famed historic Kasbah of Telouet, which served as a luxurious home and the headquarters of the powerful Glaoui tribe, is the first scheduled stop. When we eat a leisurely lunch here. The road then crosses the Ounila Valley and continues to Ait Ben Haddou, Morocco's oldest and most famous Ksar and a UNESCO World Heritage site. After touring the ksar, drive another 30 kilometers to Ouarzazate, where you will spend the night in a traditional riad.
OUARZAZATE – DRAA VALLEY – KNOB– RISSANI – MERZOUGA
After breakfast, we will visit the Kasbah before traveling south and then east to Merzouga via Tansikht. We pause for lunch at a riad overlooking the mountains in N'Qob. Later, we will pass through Tazzarine, which was featured in the film "Babel," and arrive at the Merzouga bivouac, where you will be met with a glass of tea. We'll take a camel ride to the top of the dunes to watch the sunset after you've settled down. Later, dinner and a night in a nomad tent at the foot of the dunes await.
MERZOUGA – ERFOUD- TOUDGHA GORGE – DADES CANYON
If you get up early enough, you can see the sunrise, when the color of the dunes and the dance of shadows is breathtaking. You can walk on the dunes after breakfast before heading to the Toudgha gorges for lunch. Tinjdad and the Toudgha Valley are traversed by the road. There are several places to walk in this area, such as along the river through the gardens or up the road on the opposite side of the gorges. Later, the schedule continues to the Dades Valley and the Dades Gorges, where you will spend the night inside the Dades Canyon (Guest House).
DADES GORGE - SKOURA – OUARZAZATE - MARRAKECH
We will take a morning stroll in the gorge, following the Dades Valley through El Kelaa Magona and the Skoura oasis. The Ouarzazate Road, a UNESCO World Heritage site and the setting for several Hollywood blockbusters. Tizi-n-Tichka, Africa's highest pass, was controlled from here. We arrive at Marrakesh toward the end of the afternoon. I'll drop you off at your Marrakech hotel. We have completed our mission.
